Charlie, was recently pulled from a local shelter.
Gender: male
Age: aprox. 4-6 years old.
Health: Charlie is extremely emaciated, whipworms and hookworms, and ticks/fleas. All of which we are working on, and hope to get him close to his ideal weight as possible.
Behavioral: 80% house-trained, has accidents when he wasn't feeling well. So far the biggest problem we have with him is nipping and jumping up when you have something he wants. He will also grab your arm or hand, not by biting but just applying pressure, if you are doing something he doesn't like. (Any advice on these issues is appreciated)

Charlie is quite a friendly individual but needs some refresher courses on obedience. We are not sure whether he will go through GSD rescue group, but we first want to stabilize him. He responds well to women, and corrections.

Kids: We are unsure how he would handle living with children, but he did well with our neighbors kids. We are concerned with the behavioral problems, so we want to see if we can correct them before placing.

Living with Other Dogs: He does well with female dogs, and seems to get along with my male Dogo, but my Male dogo doesn't appreciate him very much. So they've had some tiffs, I believe caused by my Dogo, not him.

Which rescue are you with? Did you pull for yourself, your rescue - or on behalf of a GSD rescue?

I work with several rescues.
We informed the GSD rescue in our area about the dog, but they didn't have any foster homes. Charlie stayed in the shelter for almost a month. When we saw how sick he was we couldn't leave him there so we pulled him, took him home and are taking care of his health problems. The group knows that he is with us, and are possibly going to help us place him. I'm not sure yet.
I'm not sure of the rescue's name, it's at home. I can post it later.
