I'm a part-time volunteer for German Shepherd Rescue Alliance of Wisconsin.
About a year ago, we rescued a (mostly) GSD named Midnight from a local humane society. When we arrived to pick him up, we found that he had a "buddy"--a female (mostly) Lab named Whitney. These dogs are inseparable and don't like to be apart at all.
Our problem in finding them a home seems to be that 1) they are older dogs, about nine and ten years old although in excellent health and with no chronic health problems; and 2) there are two of them and they absolutely must be adopted as a pair.
Pluses: These dogs have the energy and personality of much younger animals, and NO health problems. And they both have wonderful temperaments--safe with people and other dogs.
I know many of you on the board and I am in hopes that some of you fine dog people may be interested in Midnight and Whitney, or know a friend who would be. They are great dogs and they deserve a great home.
