I received this e-mail alert this morning http://www.akc.org/news/index.cfm?article_id=2405 and I can't believe that this could possibly go through-banning Pitbulls will not fix anything-nor will the restrictions they are going to place on Pitbull owners and the so called "dangerous" breeds. Where to they come up with this $h*t
A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself. -Josh Billings
If ya'll will go to the link that Dee Dee kindly provided, it includes points of contact to send letters or E-mails to - politicians are suppose to represent the people, and if they don't hear from people when stupid legislation like this is drafted, they become emboldened to push further crap down the line.
Your voice is your weapon against stupidity like this - use it properly and *often*.
Since this bill would make the German Shepherd a
"dangerous" dog, what about all the police K-9s? Are they somehow exempt from this? Our town tried enacting BBL a few years ago. Thank God it never passed. I have a problem with the yorkie down the road. Can we pass a bill to ban all little yippy dogs?
If only stupidity was a fatal disease...boy, do I ever wish! Unfortunately, this is just a taste of things to come. I foresee a day when all dogs over 40lbs. will be deemed dangerous. Thanks alot dumbasses!
From what I've been told, our police force has had inumerable instances of K9 officers being attacked upon entering the premises for search purposes. In this instance, I suppose owning a deranged Pitt Bull would be of some benefit.
What I find amusing is that the Pitt Bull is known for it's kindly disposition to humans. I personally can't wait for these types (and the 'wannabees') to aquire and abuse another breed, one which will turn on it's owner and rip out his throat. Or at least severely maim him.
