Does anyone on this forum have some credible info to share on discussions at the AWDF annual board meeting held there Thursday?
I understand the by-law changes did not pass? And was there any more on the AKC Working Dog program?...(there was to be an AKC rep present but info will be slow coming from that org.)
I too was wondering what the outcome was, and anything furhter with the AKC. I was also intrested to know what had went on with so many pulss after certain phases.
Well, Mike, no answers today. Re your comment about the trial I will share with you heresay from other sources, but the disclaimer is that's all it is: just heresay... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> I wasn't there.
The tracking order was not a draw as is normally done, but rather fields were "assigned". All those from one flight did not necessarily track on the same fields. Tracks were laid by the local k-9 police officers, not Sch folks.
Ivan B. got a 90; Gary H a 95; both pulled their dogs.(Don't know reasons)
There was also a lot of controversy surrounding the scheduling of the field for practice, with some competitors not able to get on at all.
There was a tent next to the find-blind, which caused some dogs a problem.
Tracking judge was Czech;
Bill Knox had obedience: detailed oriented but judged fairly.
Protection judge was Roland Seibel: gave detailed, and exact critiques.
But I've not found out anything about what was discussed at the Board meeting re the AKC sport venue.
