He dug it up after a month of useage ( Ewwwwww...) and tried to improve its drainage with a larger bed of gravel ....no dice. I did a little research on the subject myself, since I have three dogs, and that's a lot of dog poop to be putting into the solid waste stream. One technique I read about is starting a pile in an out of the way corner, and using sawdust to add to the poop. The sawdust apparently helps to dry it out, keep the stink down, and start the composting process. You just have to turn it occasionally, and tend to it like any compost pile.
