hey folks
is there a best method for curing two dogs with a real bad case of the cling ons? Seriously, they are both following me like we're all attached with a two inch cord and I'm getting a little ...well, testy about it. They are underfoot or on top of me, literally, every waking moment.
Yelling is very effective but kinda mean. They both take it hard. I have actually swatted both of them on the hienie a couple times lately-when they are literally walking on top of me. But they only scatter for a second, and I think Puppyman in particular thinks the swatting is a fun new game. If I get one to go sit, the other is immediately on me. (I mean ON me-they put their feet on me and breathe in my face if I ignore them).
I love them, but cripes-I don't WANT to play fetch and/or pet them every second of my life. Unless I crate them, they're in my face and under my feet and I'm getting tense about it.
The picture I get of Puppyman, from the sum of your posts, is that this youngster would benefit greatly from having an outside kennel where he can have some separation from you and just be a dog.

How about using a child pressure gate to keep them in a separate room while you're not in the mood to hang out w/ them?? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
