....I am referring to "all" the LindaW threads.
The same thing happened on at least one other board she was on, as has already been mentioned.
I commend everyone for trying to help Linda. I personally feel there are a lot of exceptional trainer's who have been trying to help her. She has received excellent advise on this board from Will, Todd, Robert VanCamp, Eric, and Chuck, as well as the "other person who followed Linda here". (According to Lisa), but, sad to say, you are wasting your time. I know, because I was on the other board I'm talking about, and the one whom Lisa referred to. I know the person Lisa was referring to who supposedly "followed LindaW here and publically berated her", or however it was put.
This was not, and has not been the case with her or any of us who have come to this board and who commented on "the LindaW situation." The person Lisa is talking about, as well as myself and a few other's, had been coming to this board long before LindaW ever came here. We were all shocked to see her here and pulling her BS, just like on the "other board".
It got so "ugly" on the "other board" that many of us left that board for good. For awhile LindaW even suckered in the "head honcho" of that board, but since, even he has come to realize that she is a "wacko" and said she was pm-ing him and threatening him.
She has changed her idenity on the other board at least twice, but was found out.
History repeats itself. She is doing
exactly the same thing she did on the other board, right down to starting new threads to "start over" etc.
Linda loves attention, whether it is "good" or "bad" and the best thing anyone can do is
not reply to her posts, or try to help her. This is what she "feeds" on.
It took myself and other's a long time to figure this out, because like you wonderful trainer's here, all we wanted to do is help this poor woman and her poor dogs. We sincerely felt she was crying out for help. What she's really crying out for is attention. Any kind of attention, as I said.
In conclusion, Robert I would like to say that I agreed 150% <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> with your post about all the "good" dogs being put down every day, so why waste your time on a weak nerved, messed up mutt like LindaW's. Perhaps LindaW "caused" it, as some believe, or perhaps she contributed to it. In the
right hands her dogs may have turned out differently. I don't honestly know.
All I do know from my years of experience is that dogs are alot like people in the respect that, you can raise two exactly the same, and one will turn out to be a wonderful dog, while the other may turn out to be a "basket case" like Linda's, and I do believe that genetic's plays a bigger role in how a dog will turn out than a lot of people realize. Most people have the tendency to blame the owner for any behavioral problems a dog may have, and while it's true things may turn out differently for that dog if someone else had gotten it instead of the person who did, once the "mistake" is made, rectify it to insure that the general public will be safe from your dog, and go on from there, but learn from your mistake.
As someone so aptly put it in the other thread, "they are, after all dogs".
One other observation I would like to make is that people with "weak" personalities, where dogs are concerned, seem to be naturally drawn to that poor little pup, or shelter dog who is cowering in the corner, who "someone has abused", and they, "just have to take it home and love it to make up for what it's been through."
That's their first mistake...and it just spirals down hill from there.
