How do I train my female GSD to not accept food from anyone but me? It is not a problem now, she has never tasted human food in her life. However I am getting married in three weeks and she will be at the reception with about 150 people, and I am sure more than a few buzzed guests will try to feed the dog.
I think she'll learn from the first try to taste human food. Amazingly quickly, and well.
I'd keep the dog away from the party. Puppy or adult, you cannot ask her so much in such a short time. If you really want to teach her, why don't you take your time after the wedding...

In some sports this is taught. It takes two people to get it done fairly fast. 4 to 5 sessions.
Get down on your knees with your dog.(close)Have a friend stand in front of you and drop food on the ground in frount of your dog.If the dog looks, sniffs, or evenlooks at the food, say no, phoey or what ever and tap, (just tap) it on the nose. Do this over and over for about 5 minutes.
Get up and leave with the dog. After about two or three sessions he will get the hint. Then do the same thing with the helper trying to feed fron his hand.
After doing this 2 or three times. He will have learned. At this point I proof with the E-collar.
If you dont have one, move away from the dog with a ling line on him and correct if he shows ANY,ANY intrest in the food. He should look away when the food is presented.
This works for me. Luck to you.

In three weeks you don't have time to train this and proof it. I'd just keep the dog away from the party until you have time to train and work this training method.
Food has a great attraction, and if you fail the dog could have a hard time adjusting back to dog food.
Keep it clear of this temptation until proofed. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
A 150 people is a lot of stress on a dog. Someome is going to pressure your dog to have a piece something and will make it their mission to make that poor hungry looking pooch have a bite. The risk is too great to undo your training. Putting pooch in the kennel will ensure a safe and foodsneaking free dog.
