Peter, you are a paranoid, delusional and troubled individual in serious need of professional help. I suggest you seek such in order that you might work out your issues.
If you can prove I'm a supporter of the before mentioned organizations, then do so. If you cannot, the fair and decent thing to do would be to stop it. But who says you're a decent guy?
This is getting off topic and out of hand. I do not want to close the thread, as I am sure there are plenty here would would like to discuss the pro's and con's of the WDS, but frankly, if this continues it will be CLOSED...
The rules are the same as posted on Ed's web site or are they IPO. I have read also an IPO version of the AKC's MWD program.
This will be intresting to see what happens with this. It seems that this is just a process the AKC goes through with all new programs, and that Schutzhund or IPO is there to stay with the AKC.
I am intrested now what will become of the AWDF and WDA and USA.
Now, back to the subject at hand. I'll keep an open mind and go check it out. I'm sure I'll learn a lot and meet a lot of good people. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
There are a few inconsistances in the "rules" that I see, ie:
Section 5. Entry Requirements. Working Dog Events shall be open to dogs twelve months of
age or over to all AKC recognized breeds except for those dogs entering the Master level whereas such dogs must be at least 18 months for Master Level I, 19 months for Master Level II and 20 months for Master Level III.
4. Working Dog Master (WDM). Eligibility for entry into this level require the following:
a. Certified hips and elbows
b. AKC/DNA certification
c. Microchip and enrolled in AKC/CAR
d. Successful completion of junior, senior and open Test (or exempt by previous earned titles
Chapter 1, Sec. 24)
e. Successful completion of Masters Test I, II, III
If by certification they mean OFA, that can't be done till 24 months of age, while Sec 5 only requires the dog be 20 months of age to enter.
