People never stop to amaze me. I went into a local pet store yesterday. This store has premium dog food & frequently has rescue groups for different breeds there which I think is great.
However, yesterday there were wolf hybreds being offered for adoption. I would not think anyone in their right mind would even consider this with all the problems now with home owners insurance, breed legistation, etc.
While I was watching, a little girl approached the animal wanting to pat him. She had a toy in her hand which the wolf immediately took away from her. He was not agressive--just determined & it was apparent had she objected, it wouldn't have made much of a difference. The toy was his.
I am going to check this out but I did not know any state would allow this. I hate to think of any animal being put down but I don't think I would have a warm & fuzzy feeling living with a part wolf dog.
Do other states allow this? The lady that was going the wolf rescue said she currently had 20 that she was trying to get adopted. Next someone will be trying to adopt out Ben-Laden's sons!
