My father-in-law has unfortuntely been hospitalized in Ohio, I am in GA, and his prognoses is not good. He has an 8 year old GSD, very well trained. Does anyone know of an GSD rescue in the Youngstown OH area? OJ is a great dog, but has been raised by a single german man. I don't believe he knows too many commands in english, and is not around women and children too often. He is extremely protective. My husbands father is going to die soon, and I promised him I would do my best to try and find a home for OJ. Any help would be appreciated.

Medical history on the dog? Any major problems? How far along in obedience is he? Is he an intact male? Is he dog agressive? I might have a brother that might be interested. He lives in a beautiful wooded area just outside of St. Louis. Several arces of nothing but trees and trees.
