I have a 14 week old male pup, German Working lines, that has a tooth coming up in the middle of his bottom jaw. I mentioned this to my vet this morning and he has never heard of a tooth coming in in that spot. It is directly under the tongue so it will be removed with in the next week or so. I purchased this pup with the intent on doing Sch with him. While I know the importance of the bite and teeth, no teeth = no bite = no Sch for my pup. I guess what I'm trying to get to is this, would this be considered a fault in the breed ring (yes, IF things pan out, I do plan on breeding him in the future). And if so, how big a fault would it be? Has anyone else has any problems or even heard of something like this happening before? BTW, my pup is out of a Bastin x Dolly von Kessler Kreuz breeding.
My ex-wife had a tooth grow right into the middle of the roof of her mouth. This was pulled at a young age and she has lived a totally happy life - admittedly it would have been a ;ittle happier without me but this is not a genetic issue.
There are no perfect dogs - don't sweat the samll stuff.
Don't worry about it. It is just one tooth and you dog still have plenty more to bite with <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
Anyway if you train and inprint the bites early and correctly, he should be doing full bite which doesn't really uses the front that much. You should have no prob with SCHH if the dog have the right working attitude for the job.

When the dog is confused, blame not the dog but shoot the handler.
