To anyone that can help! What is involved in getting a pup or dog BRED SURVEYED? Age, cost, titles? etc. No titles? Please let me know anything you can including who and where this can be done.
1. BH - basic temperament/obedience
2. AD - 12 mile biking endurance
3. Schutzhund 1
4. Conformation Show Rating
5. OFA or 'a' stamp hip certification
All these are prerequisites - cost???? LOL - where do I start??? Entry fees - time effort miles gas wear and tear on vehicle....loss of sleep loss of personal life...etc etc. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
When all these are done, then a koering must be entered where the dog is judged again on temperament, gunshot - crowd ; measured extensively, does 2 bitework exercises and is again gaited - not necessarily in that order...the entry fee for this is generally $100 - with half of that going to the SV I understand.
Personal satisfaction in doing it with a dog you got as a puppy - Priceless!

Thanks Lee & Renee. I've got a beautiful solid black bitch that is fearless and looks very promising. At least Tom Brenneman thinks so. Tom agrees with me that this is a rock solid bitch that could do anything because of her rock solid nerves and excellent temperament. Her confirmation is excellent too. Well I'm not an expert but I do think Tom knows a great pup when he see's one. I'll read the info you supplied me Renee. I also received a 1/2 sister to this nice bitch last wednesday and from the looks of things I may have gotten lucky again.
