Leon Shraibman Webboard User Reg: 06-17-2003 Posts: 71 Loc: Offline	Hello! I have a 4 month old German Shepherd from Chech blood lines. He constantly barks and whines when he is outside in the kennel. Questin: what is the appropriate age for a bark-collar? My neighbors are getting a little impatient with all the noise. Or, maybe you have a suggestion as to how stop or limit his barkling in the kennel. thanks <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

I try to put my barkers up after dark in a crate till morning. I recommend a quality bark collar such as Dogtra or Tri-tronics. During daytime hours I will frequently use a bark collar to keep the neighbors satisfied. This has worked for me and gives the dog's neck a rest from not wearing the collar at night. I finally broke down and bought one, and it works great. After about three nights, I loosened the collar a bit and turned it off. Now, when the collar is on, he will not bark.
