Does anyone have any ideas for enclosing a garage door opening when the garage door is up? Some kind of sliding fence, preferably with a man door. I want to be able to open my garage door so the dogs can get fresh air and look outside without worrying that they might push through and get out. Obviously a screen "in my opinion" would not hold up to a dog jumping into it.
There is such a device. Some of the newer zero lot line housing here in florida utilize a slide away screen enclosure to cover the garage door opening. You could replace the regular fiberglass screening with the metal type. This probably wouldnt stop a large dog from ripping through it though if he really wanted to. Some kind of lightly constructed barrier in front of the metal screened enclosure should keep the dog from getting enough momentum to go through the metal screen. Other than that, utilize the fold away cage idea.
