Tonight I get to dog-sit for my aunt's dog. I can hardly wait
He's an extremely unstable GSD, just about a year old, who is on two medications for stress and anxiety (he ate THROUGH one of her walls), has no training other than not to jump on ME (he jumps on everyone else, but not me hee hee), is terrified of a leash and collar and will go hide when you put one on him, no matter how long he wears it; barks and whines constantly, has never been crate trained, free-feeds, and is pretty much a loose screw.
I almost feel sorry for him, but then I think to myself "No, my aunt deserves him. She did no research when she decided to get another GSD puppy (her last dog died 2 years ago at age 12, from cancer - and had severe hip displasia, and was overweight); she did not get any kind of hip guarantee from the breeder; she did not care to see the parents; she will not take the time and effort to train him; she didn't crate train him (which would have helped MUCHO with his separation anxiety; and she lets him do whatever he wants." Yes, she deserves a dog like him.
I will take pictures though; he's a pretty dog - definately American lines - but pretty just the same.

The collar and leash thing reminds me of a borzoi I knew who, whenever a collar was put on her, would collapse on her side with glazed eyes and moan "wooo wooo wooo" until somebody took pity and took it off. She could keep it going so long I almost had to wonder if it was a neurological anomaly of some kind...
