If you get an e-mail from ANY credit card company or bank, that looks like what I've typed below, IT IS FRAUD. Go to the actual website for whatever company is being represented in the fraudulent e-mail and report it before you delete it from your inbox. If you don't know the actual address, go to http://www.yahoo.com and type the name of the bank or credit card company in the search field. Usually the first link is the correct one. There should be a link on the main page to report e-mail fraud. I got two this morning; one from Citi and one from SunTrust. Do not click anywhere in the e-mail message if you get one of these, because the entire message is a link, and by clicking, you could subject your computer to spyware or virii.

Here's what the e-mail will look like:

Dear SunTrust Bank client,

Recently there have been a large number of identity theft attempts targeting SunTrust customers. In order to safeguard your account, we require that you confirm your banking details (credit card information and login/password for online banking, if you have).

This process is mandatory, and if not completed within the nearest time your account or credit card may be subject to temporary suspension.

To securely confirm your SunTrust Bank details please follow the link:

http://www.suntrust.com/personal/Checking........

Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter and thank you for using SunTrust Bank!

Our IT at work just sent us a warning that a Citibank scam is currently underway that takes you to an apparent Citibank login page.

It would be a good idea to delete the phishing link from your post.
