(Who has their ears on)My gsd (12wks.)has done very well in his tracking training. Question is that @ the end of thetrack after praise, rewards etc. he likes to sniff his way back to the track and continue to go up and down it again, again etc. are we setting ourselves up for a problem here ? should i continue to let him do thiis wtihout leash, or stop it now.
Fred, He might be looking for more praise. He sounds very advanced for 12 wks old. Either make the tracks a little more difficult or do more of what you are alrady doing. Personally, I would put the lead back on him after he has had a minute or two to roam.
