I did read that the GSDCA was lobbying parliament a few years ago and I thought I read on a recent discussion on this forum that it was to become banned in my area of Australia anyway <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> .
I hope this isn't true but I haven't heard anything <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> If it isn't could you let me know any places over here that train in shutzhund???? I'm pretty sure I don't have a suitable dog at the moment but still it'll be good to see them train. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
Megan, you haven't said which state you reside in. Unfortunately there are no schutzhund clubs that actively trial dogs in either Western Australia, South Australia, Act, NT or Tasmania (that I am aware of). The active clubs that trial all seem to be in Victoria, NSW and Queensland. However there may be others that train but choose not to compete under the A.U.S umbrella. Let me know roughly where you live (pm me if you prefer) and I will get some info for you. ..
I am new to this sport, well actually, not even really in it yet but will have my puppy in February. And I am 25. Married seven years and have three kids, two boys and adopted a little girl. Wish I knew about this years ago... Well, glad I have heard about it now. And in just a couple years my kids will all be in school so more time!! Glad to see so many people my age and younger doing this! Jennie
