Personally, I didn't find it to be that good of a read.
I think its erroneous for the author to imply that dog aggression in some Malinois and GSD lines is attributed to the introduction of Pit Bulls into those lines. Dog aggression can be present in any breed, and its not the result of the infusion of fighting dog blood.
Also, the last paragraph of the GENETIC SELECTION section is highly questionable. Dogs that exhibit this type of behavior should have washed out of a PSD selection early on. If a dog "turns" on its handler or family, it is more likely that the handler disregarded the actions of the dog, than vice versa.
Additionally, I don't disagree that high-energy & aggression dogs will "push" the suspect/decoy for a bite, but are also taught to circle the suspect during the B&H to avoid retaliatory action from the suspect.
I think that the author wrote this with good intentions, but really dropped the ball on a number of points, including what "the sport" has done to benefit the availability of PSD candidates.
Perhaps, I should have said informative read. I myself dont agree with all of the author's opinions but somethings were interesting.
For example: 1. It was interesting to know why dogs have different pain thresholds or 2. Or that dogs rarely get over an initial fear experience.
