I hope I'm doing this right. Scott Williams has indicated that he is feeding his dogs raw and that his food source is in San Luis Obispo County CA. And since he too is in SLO County, I am hoping that he might know of any training taking place in that area. I have given up on training because I have had to drive at least three hours one way to work my dog. I have a problem being away from home that long and would like to be working with a group nearer by.

Thanks Scott, I do know those folks. They used to have a PSA club, but no longer have that affiliation. It's a shame, but there are no clubs on the coast between Monterey and Ventura. Rats <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />

I heard a couple months ago that they were trying to get another PSA club together. I had emailed to join but then became busy with other life and haven't heard back.. you may want to check it out though. I don't know of anyone else in the area. Good luck!!

Thanks for the reply, Debbie. Last I heard the person that really was the organizer of the local PSA group is still in Afghanistan. Till he returns I doubt that much will happen, schutzhundwise. I thought I knew all the Schutzhund folks in the Central Coastal area and am glad to hear you are in the area. I sort of wore out from the long drive over to Bakersfield to train. Also, like many mislead GSD owners I found that my dog is from mostly show breeding and lacks the necessary prey drive to do bite work. He is smart, gorgeous and a wonderful fun dog. However, other than obtaining a BH we aren't going to go any further in schutzhund.
