Well here is a new topic that I have not seen anything on yet. My wife and I were discussing the considerable investment in dogs for Breeding and Shutzhund. Is there any kind of insurance in case of accidental death or illness???

Yes!! Our township has insisted over the years that the police department insure our dogs. I'll get more details on Monday for you regarding company name and he like. It covers almost any situation including theft and al . I think the only thing it does not cover is if I loose my dog.

Michael - if you are going to begin breeding for Schutzhund or for police work you need to consider forming a LLC (Limited Liability Corp)Insurance companies like them and they are what their name implies - they limit your liability.
As a result of a frivolous dog suit over a foster dog scratching someone with a toe nail I formed an LLC for my kennel
On Monday or Tuesday we will be adding two paperback books to our web site (in the book section) that help people understand LLC’s and how to form them - it is very very simple.
