Hey everyone... has anyone tried the Ionic Bath Pet Brush? Im curious if it would work on a GSD. Especially wit the shedding we GSD owners deal with. I know if it worked I would buy it and its supposed to elimidate doggy oder?
I have one of these that i use on our 5 month old puppy. Definitely gets rid of the puppy smell and (in my mind at least) gives a nice shine to her coat. Doesn't do much for shedding as the teeth are very wide apart so I still use a rake and brush for that, but for smells, it works well.
Just a heads up that the "smell" and "pulsations" that it gives off makes my puppy a little weird. You'll see what I'm talking about when you use it. She calms down fairly quickly. Also, JC Penney has the same brush, plain black, that they sell for 5-10 dollars. I bought it on sale for $3. Good luck!
I don't have one of those brushes, but I do have a "Furminator" brush. They are a bit expensive, but they really get the undercoat brushed out well. I've used a rake before and they seem to work just as well, but with more breakage of the outer, guard hairs...not so with the "furminator."
Don't mean to do an ad for these brushes, but they sure have helped with the shedding around here----Grey-puppy looks forward to his Furmination every morning after our walk!!
