How early should this be done with a PPd.Should there be a certain duration of time until this is done.Im asking because Im wondering if he will always be looking to transfer or can it be where he transfers only if he is struck?

Spending time on training unnecessary exercises will only distract from the dog's real goal, unless you're planning on do Ring Sports with the dog also.
