Well. that didn't last long.... "TNS is unable to connect to destination. Invalid TNS address supplied or destination is not listening. This error can also occur because of underlying network transport problems.
Does anyone know why pedigreedatabase can't stay online more than a few days or sometimes a couple hours at a time. I know alot of members here use it to look up pedigrees and it is a great source to find quality dogs for sale. Does he need tech support or money. I would be willing to pay for placing litter ad's or a subscription fee if reasonable.
I think that question has been asked and offered @ least a million times. I think Oli no longer owns it but not sure how true that is and/or who owns it now
I know it is useful in finding info without long hours of navigating the web.
Oh well. It was good while it lasted
Like the hour it was up today
With all the computer geeks working today, the owner shouldn't have the problems that plague pedigreedatabase. I sure he could find someone to host and run the site. If, it cost a couple bucks to place an ad or to access information monthly. I'm sure alot of people would pay for the convience. I don't understand why the owner hasn't done something to defray the cost of keeping the site online. That money could be used to keep the site running 24/7/365.
For those that don't know, there are alot of working and show dogs along with quality pups sold on that site in the classified ad section (buyer beware). I just wish they would seperate the show from workinglines for sale.
I think Oli no longer owns it but not sure how true that is and/or who owns it now
The last info I read on this was that Oli and his wife had split; she was the dog person, but Oli did the web site. He was to keep it up for her but that obviously didn't happen. If he/she sold it, that info is not publisized.
I agree with Lorenzo that as many times as folks have written on various forums their willingness to pay for such a site, I don't understand why it's still not available!
Try this SITE...they are advertising a database coming soon...
(Hope they monitor their forum better than the original Shaefer site did!!)
