A very important lesson I learned is accidents happen. To everyone and everything. An accident is no ones fault. Not the little girls, not mine, not the dogs
This is going to seem harsh but your an adult, This was no accident, the word negligence comes to my mind. The only thing true about what you said is that it's not the dogs fault. Your dogs are living like a pack in it's den, when that 9 year old, walked in your dogs felt the den was threatned. You stated, that everyone knows about your dogs, as if the dogs have put out their own warnings. So you obviously have protective dogs, and you obviously neglected your responsibilites as an owner to have those dogs trained. In my opinion if you have a protective dog, and you want them to be protective, you had better teach those dogs when to bite and when not to bite, instead of leaving it up to nature and instinct to tell them. Not only that if you had put serious training on obviously serious dogs, you could have recalled them as they went after her, or even called them off, anything, but you had absolutely no control over dogs you should have. This situation is 100% your fault, I just hate it for those 4 poor victims, 1st the little girl and then those 3 dogs who were only doing what your actions or lack of promoted, I give them the benifit of the doubt that they thought they were protecting you, but had no training to know how to properly react. Next time you choose a dog for a pet, make sure you have the time to properly train it, or leave the dogs where they are, atleast they'll be alive. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />
I had serveral emails with this person before she posted to the web site. I am at the point where I think this is a troll and I dont believe what she is saying. Its too wierd. I am blocking her from the board and if she wants to send me emails with her name and address and her sisters name and address I will deal with it. If she does not do this she was lurking to spread bull shit.
Then, Deanna, act like a responsible adult and protect the children who are endangered. What on earth are you waiting for? Don't dink with all these fine people that earnestly want you to do the right thing for these kids!
Who said I didn't make a call? I asked this last night to see who to call...I know the health dept but wasn't sure who else.....who said I was dinking with anyone??
