My new puppy will bite the pull toy and then spin like a gator to try to rip it out of my hands. She did the same with my son's pants leg. Do I discourage this type of biting a little later or do I leave it as a surprise for the helper? I'm total brand new to training in bite work and don't want to mess this up.
never ever correct a puppy for anything even bite work if they bit you thats the greatest thingin the world and secondly if you play tug alway let him win never make him loose you need tobuild confidence in this dog thats why when he trys to take it give it to him and never correct him just remember untill you start to do obedience he can do no wrong
Congradulations!!!! Trust me it is worse when you get them home and they don't bite anything. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> I would keep multiple toys on me to try to block some of the biting your pants and shoes. You have to learn to make them more interesting then your leg. Good Times!
