Richard - lets clear this up for those who may not know - this is not the old Texas Police K9 ASSOC - which was a privatley held Corp owned by Marcus Cook. Marcus being the man who was a police officer caught lying on numerous cases that was fired and eventually disbarred from being a law enforcement officer in Texas. Cook was recently charged in Federal Court in MN for selling exotic animals illegally in MN (big cats) I dont knwo how that ended up.
This new Org has nothing to do with Marcus Cook. Am I correct?
Thats Right Ed.This association was around before the Texas Police K-9 group. Some former members had attempted to merge the two organizations several years ago, so we just dropped TLECA into the shadows,and let nature take its course with the "Cook Group", as we figured it would, it blew up. TLECA is about training. Thats why we try to keep it as close to free as we can.We are a NO Profit organization,we don't want donations and require the bank account to be kept to a minimum. Any extra funds go to equipment.Now it appears that its time to get busy again. We will be implementing a Patrol Dog Certification soon also. And yes....It'll be free. Thanks for letting us post this. You still run a class operation. rd
