T. Floyd had the high overall score with a 290. His two year old dog, Karlo, received his SchIII at this trial. Nice way to start a career. T & Karlo also had the high obedience score with a 97.
Ronny Wiess & Dera scored a 98 in protection to nail down second place. Ron Fox & Elis, Jim Brao & Nick (high in protection), and Stephen Lavallee & Atlas split third place with 284 pts each. Mark Scarberry & Vimo won high tracking with 100 pts. Jim Ackerman & Eddy received the sportsmanship award.
At the risk of losing a another star with a bad, bad pun, , the weather was also HOT. Starting times were moved up to 7am to beat the worst of the 90+ heat and humidity. The heat index hovered over 100F as the day wore on. One of the SchII helpers neared heat exhaustion at the end of his flight. The crowd stayed under the scant shade as much as possible. Everyone kept a close eye on their dogs. The cooling shelter with its hose and play pool were popular spots for the dogs.

* Handler Owned and Trained dogs.
Thanks Charlie!
To me this should be the biggest event in SchH, the work put into a dog by the handler *only* really is the ultimate test of the handler/ trainer and dog.
The real bragging points should be based on this event.
