This makes me sick! When I lived in the UK, we had to deal with the IRA bombings every weekend!

Someone seriously needs to stand up and ask "WHY"???? What would make an individual/s go to this extreme? If we dont find the answer to this question beyond any reasonable doubt... we will all live in terror!

only my opinion...it's called hatred...not being able to accept someone else's beliefs..being set in our ways ..not being able to change ..not being able to express our opinions except though violence...being brain washed...but again that is my opinion...

I have spent my whole professional life dealing with military technologies, different directions different armies, navys etc go when developing offensive and defensive weapons...one thing we all are taught in this line of work is to try and understand your enemy and how your enemy thinks....well to answer your question why, I don't think there is a rational answer, all I know is that this particular enemy BELIEVES in the elimination of all who do not believe as they do, it is not a wish, it is not a desire it is a solid belief that drives individuals to these kinds of acts because it is their mission, their destiney. And look at the solutions this drive has generated - turning a commercial airplane into a missile by turning off it's transponder, cheap hard to find let alone stop....as someone who has access to the worlds most sophisticated repertoire of technologies and tools to work with to defend this nation, it is hard to take when a single humans drive to be a destructive force is not preventable, and even more disturbing to know that this enemy will never stop until we are gone, for no other reason than we do not believe the way they do.....
