Last week, I think I botch the puppy testing and might have to go back for another meeting.
Mommy bitch got mange but was treat and cleared by the vet. Had a litter. The dad which he owns is a Phil Ch. going to Grand Ch. The whole litter got mange will sell only when they cleared. 2 male only which I which neuter.
Male A fail paw pressure and lying on back.
Male B Pass except coming to strangers. Since there were 2 caretakers there, the dog went the caretakers. When I put the pup in my lap he is calm. Owner say is was 1st time pup touch the ground because whole litter have the mange. Do I still repeat there coming to strangers without the presence of the caretaker? Perhaps the pup wasn't socialized the strangers / people?
Also how about of mange? I think they are to young for Amitraz. I told them that today. The breeder says he is giving vaccine shots, he thinks Amitraz is too young for them too thank God! The pup was scratching and I had a hard time giving the test of pup B. Also should the mange sarcoptic or demodectic mange recur do you have any alternative treatments you use?
In Philippines I wipe salisic sp? acid 10% or benzoyl
peroxide 10% on skin. Wait for 5 min. Wash and use sulphur soap. Wash last use cooking coconut oil the drown the mites.
I cannot use Amitraz due to my seizures but the will use it as a last resort. Also will let friend let help me. Thanks!!!
I am not sure I understand this post but I take it that you are looking at puppies from this litter to purchase?
with the health issues already present in the parents and the litter, I would NOT get a puppy from this breeder. Mange is a sign of a suppressed immune system and vaccines will only make it worse.

Also, please keep in mind that if this is sarcoptic mange, it is CONTAGIOUS and you can get it from handling the dogs!!!
If it's demodex, then it isn't contagious, but it's still a serious problem. I agree with Cindy; you should be looking for another breeder that isn't breeding dogs with suppressed immune systems (which is what causes demodectic mange).
Can corgis be given Ivermectin?

Jeff: Yes but they die off because the can't complete the lifecycle. Scabies.

Jeff: I will ask the breeders vet. Dedinaitely something to consider. The will also talk to my vet. Corgi are rare in Philippines so when an import comes which infuse new blood into a line I immediately did a puppy test.
Male B might be good. Will see how they are doing. I still scratching I might wait for another batch. I was 2 bitches. One the dog food has 2nd which might worsen the scracthing.
