First, just want to thank Ed(Leerburg) for offering such a
wonderful website. Such a wealth of information that is
free to the public. Have been using the sight for a couple
of years, it has helped me with mt 2 1/2 year old Dobe.
Just discovered the forum though.
Anyway, for the past 4 months have been researching and been wanting a Rotty. As nice as my Dobe has been he just
does not cut it for a working dog. Right now my primary
residence is in Florida(because of work) but I am back in
Montana on occasion to keep my place up til I move back
in a few years.
I have been on the internet lately looking for German line
working Rotts. Found several breeders in Florida and over a
few weekends drove pretty much all over the state visiting
several of them. Of course, each one talked bad about the other one. Although, I have pretty much settled on one particular breeder I guess I have seeds planted in the back
on my head from all the negativity.
The breeder I have selected seems to have some good pedigree in his dogs, as far as working lines, that I can tell. The mother of the litter is suppose to be the grand-daughter of Ivan von Muthmannsdorf, which from what I understand was the "king" of Rotts. The fathers lineage,
according to his certificate of origin were all SchH III
dogs. The breeders name is Chad Wollman, any feedback would
be appreciated.

Only rottie breeder I know well is Amanda Hoskins, her female Carla was in the DVG nationals this year.

Thanks for the replies, appeciate the info. Just got back from Montana yesterday and saw the replies. Anyway, after driving 7000 miles, got home took a nap and drove another 300 to pick up my new puppy. At 8 weeks old he looks like a little bear cub. So, I named him Grizzly. I figure it is also a tough Montana name as well. He follows me everywhere I walk(trying not to step on him requires lots of coordination)and has lots of prey drive. I bought 8weeks to 8months and First steps of bite training and am looking foward to get training. However, in my ethusiasm I don't want to make any mistakes on such a wonderful dog with great pedigree. I guess I will just start with the 3 commands a take it slowly.
