I have a 12 wk old GSD pup and he is eating his stool. I have heard of some stuff called For-bid and Distaste and was wondering if either one of these is recommened for use. I feed him Canidae food and he is getting fed 3x a day for a total of 2 cups. Also I am wondering about vaccinations. The breeder I got him from gave him Distemper and Coronavirus at 6 wks, the vet gave him a DA2PP-L-CV (I have no idea what this is) booster at 10 wks, he has to go in at 13 wks for follow-up booster to what the vet gave at 10 wks of age and then another at 16 wks. Is this too many shots???

Typically puppies are vaccinated at 9, 12, and 16 weeks. Rabies comes after that, and then at 1 year old, they get a booster of the same vaccine they were given at 9, 12, and 16 weeks. After that, they should be okay for life.
The only vaccine I give is rabies every three years, and that's only because it's required by law. I also keep my dog on heartworm and flea/tick prevention (VERY IMPORTANT). But that's it. She's three and a half now and healthy as a horse.

It depends on your vet. Around 4 months of age is the norm around here.
And I forgot to address the cophragia issue in my last post. One very simple solution to poop eating is to immediately clean it up before he has a chance to eat it. To me that's better than feeding him something to make it taste bad (HELLO, it's POO! It ALREADY tastes bad! LOL), and could potentially harm him (many products like this say on the label that long term use can result in liver damage).
Just pick it up and don't give him the opportunity to try to eat it, and likely he'll forget about it.

My pups vaccination for Rabies was at 4 months old when i got him, and I believe the vet told me it was an annual thing.
My dog likes to pick up other dogs poop - I just make sure he's under supervision at all times, n I tell him "no!" if he wants to pick it up, or "drop it!" if he does pick it up. Drives me nuts. I'm not crazy about adding anything weird to my dogs diet so I just deal with it like that.

How many shots and what shots are given seems to be dependent on where you live. Up here in BC, nothing is REQUIRED by law (there are a lot of us who don't vaccinate at all) but you have to have an up to date rabies vaccine to get into the US. This usually isn't given until the pup is at least 16 weeks old. Some of these diseases are more prevalent in different areas but don't be afraid to question your vet.
We sold For-Bid in the clinic I used to work at, with a good success rate. You'd have to doublecheck to see if it is safe for puppies (I can't for the life of me remember), but you can also just make sure you keep your yard clean and make sure your puppy has plenty of activities when he is outside. Coprophagia is a nasty habit, and it usually happens with immature/young/bored dogs.
