Alrighty, I thought I had better jump on the APBT picture bandwagon here...
This is Tyranny. She is my only dog at the moment. 2 1/2yr female APBT, not out of any particular line. She is about 43lbs, and 19'. A brief bio: We had been in training for French Ring Sports for close to a year, but decided about 4 months ago that Schutzhund was a sport that is a little more suitable for her breed. She will be trialing in October for her BH, and hopefully Sch I, depending on how much training I can get in.
She has an outstanding temperament, confident and happy, exuberant, tenacious, outgoing and freindly to a fault. She LOVES a good fight (with the sleeve!) but dosent have an ounce of civility in her.

She IS gorgeous! I love the headshot and sideshots! When I got the dog I have now, I was still living with my parents, who wouldn't let me get a full-blooded pit bull. Understandable, since I was just 20 or 21 years old and had never had a dog of my own before.
So I settled for a pit bull mix from the Asheville Humane Society. I'd actually gone with a friend who was looking for a lab puppy or young adult to replace her old timer that had just passed away. I saw 2.5 month old Gypsy (then named Starr) and fell in LOVE, but I didn't get her. I went back three times before I actually signed the paperwork and brought her home. I wanted to make sure it wasn't an impulse thing. It was the best thing I ever did. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />
As she grew, it became apparent that she had chow in her, but I didn't care because I was working with her daily and she was easy to train and becoming one of the best behaved dogs any of my family and friends had ever met before - and she was just 6 months old then. She was already sitting and downing on command, coming when called, not jumping up on you, doing pretty well on leash (no perfect heels, but not really pulling either), and had been trained to the invisible fence. Because my mother wouldn't allow her in the house, she stayed outside 24/7 unless a thunderstorm came through or something. Not once did she ever leave the yard, and she's got killer prey drive when it comes to things like squirrels, rabbits, and the like. She would haul butt to the edge of the yard, where the boundary was, and stop. Clearly she wanted to keep going, but I had trained her well. Even now, if she takes off after something that I don't want her taking off after, I can holler out "NO" or "WAIT" and she'll stop dead, quivering all over, but stopped.
All these pictures makes me want to post some of her, so I'll take a few today and post them this evening.
Again, that's a beautiful girl, and I'm glad there are at least a few responsible pitty owners left.
