Anthony, I have the Innotek SD2100 and have been happy with the results of how well my GSD learned to respond to it. The problem I have had is with the transmitter that is mounted on, or in the house or garage. I have had to replace mine twice in the 2 years I have had it. First time was just because of a malfunctioning in the wall unit itself, and the 2nd time was because lighting hit the ground outside and the lighting traveled through the wire and into the transmitter in the house. BE SURE and buy the lightning protector that you can get with it. To replace the inside unit is over a $100.00 and the lightning protector is around 30 something. If you're like me, I said, "Lightning's not gonna strike it", and it did.
What is great about these systems, is that after a year or two, your dog will not even need the collar on all the time he or she is outside. I have to literaly pull Diva across the line to take her on a walk. I do put it on her occasionally to remind her, should she forget her boundary line. Her line covers at least an acre. ALSO, mount the stupid transmitter where you can't hear it, because when the collar is charging, it makes a terrible shrill noise.
If I can be of any further assistance, let me know.
