I've noticed that as my european female pup sits, on the right hip back I can feel a slight grinding, sometimes a light popping. She does not limp, does not appear to be in any discomfort. She enthusiastically sits for treats, not as eagerly without treats. (I think that part is normal) Her parents were certified with good hips. I took her to the vet today, and her xrays looked good. If either hip looked like there was any chance of a concern down the road, it was the left, and not the right. He said to leave her as is, and check again in a few months. I'd appreciate any experience on the following: #1) I don't think I should be feeling any grinding. Even if her Xray is good. #2) Since she is only 6 mos, is there any preventative maintenance I could or should do for her to help with the area? #3) She is doing beginning obedience, should I lighten up on the sit command, or am I being overly concerned? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
