We have hopefully discovered Kato's allergy problem. It seems to be from beef. The problem is that his favorite toy is the cow femurs. He will carry them through the house, gnaw on them until he falls asleep, and they keep him busy enough to stay out of trouble. (most of the time) <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" /> Is there anything comparable to a cow femur that is safe? Vet recommends that his meat products be venison, rabbit and fish. Where I am going to find a deer leg? And would it be safe for him to gnaw on?
Try one of the Orbee balls we sell. Our dogs love them - especially if you do the drive and focus work with them - this teaches the dog that the toy is really fin.
Then just take the beef bones away - just because he like them does not mean he sould have them - heck most teenages like to drink - that does not means its good for them.
You shouldn’t have to go far to find a number of people and companies who process deer. Stop at your local hunting and fishing store, usually there is a “posting board” where processors will advertise…or ask one of the staff.
