How about turning dinner into a training session and using the pup's regular meal as the training treats? Would you have a way of cutting everything up into tiny bits? As was already mentioned, jerky is fantastic. It seems that even the smallest fragment of jerky is enough to motivate food-centric dogs to do just about anything. Lots of smell and flavor in a small package. I wouldn't go with store jerky though, lots of nitrates (or is it nitrites?) and sodium. I learned the hard way what too much store jerky does to a stomach <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> If you make your own, you can try different creatures: beef, venison, bison, and I hear fish can be pretty tasty too.
