When looking to add another dog into the house (a house that will NEVER have children but will have many other pets cats dogs birds etc...) how easy is it to actually find a dog that willl have true fight drive and actually ENJOY physically protecting you? (ive heard many people say its very rare but i wonder if its possible still with some of the great working dog breeders lol) at the same time this dog would usually be friendly with people (if they are not threatening) OK BEFORE everyone starts to LEcture I am just trying to learn more about it IM NOT planning on going out and buying a maneater HEll im not even planning on getting a dog any time soon (but eventually I WILL want to get a new dog since I do have the space and the money and i do love my current high drive german shepherd dog) I do know that most dogs out there WILLL not protect their owners, SOME Dogs will but when they do they are doing it totally out of defense trying to help their owner they are NOT enjoying it and they usually wont keep fighting if the bad guy PRESSES his attack further) SO i guess what im asking about how does a person find a dog with the true fight drive and gameness to be able to stop an attacking man? I UNDERSTAND that the dog MUST be trained to do this BUT lets be honest we cant take ANY dog and make him a man stopper, it takes a dog with very STRONG NERVES solid temperment and LOTS OF COURAGE (many other things im sure)! SO anyone have any responses as to how someone can find a dog capable of this? & WOULD It be possible to have a dog this hard and still make a good house pet? I am sure some of you amazing breeders out there that breed real dogs do have many dogs with the temperment to do this but do they also have the temperment to be a really good house pet? or even for an owner that has just had one other high drive dog in the past and isnt considerd "experieced" Love to hear ur responses
Geez, could you throw in a punctuation mark once in awhile? Even if it's just a couple of exclamation points... anything!

I've actually stopped replying to posts with horrible grammar or spelling - if folks won't use a spell checker or at least make an attempt to use good grammar, I'm not going to wade through their posts for a reply.
Hence ya'll find me posting less.
< shrug >
Foreign posters are of course excused from this!
