Hi all, I think that dogs react to owners body language more than anything, " he knows he did something wrong" when he peed on the rug is bogus, he can tell your mad by your body language, but then again, if i had a ferret in the house, they would "think" of a way to get it, for sure <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" />, Al
When I take a shower and put on pants getting ready for work, they don't stir from downstairs. But as soon as I pick up my shorts, they come running upstairs because they "think" that they are going to the park. I honestly don't even know how they "hear" the difference between the shorts and pants. Honestly, it happens with or without a belt buckle clinking. They just know.
Also, explain this one to me:
When my wife is two or three blocks away driving home, they get up and patiently wait by the door. She doesn't even arrive for 2 or 3 minutes.
Also, with the door closed tight and the blinds closed, they know when a friend opens the front gate, and when it's a stranger.
Can someone explain that? Do they have ESP or something?
I love watching that dog perform. His owner claims he has never trained him but that he just "shows him what to do and he does it."
Do you think the dog reads his owner's body language really well?
There are movie clips and all that of this dog on line - fun stuff.
