Can anyone refer me to a reputable breeder of boxers? Someone I know recently asked me if I could help them to locate a healthy and mentally sound puppy. They are looking for a pup to be exclusively a well loved pet, in a home with 3 young boys.

Hi-I actually know a boxer breeder, but he's in Chicago. I know he ships, though. They're gorgeous, European dogs. The only ones I've met have been extremely nice, intelligent, balanced animals. He's a decoy for French Ring, and several of his boxers and malinois excel at this. Overkill for just a nice housepet, maybe, but a well-bred dog is a well-bred dog. Let me know if Chicago's too far or if you'd like me to get you his number. He also owns his own training facility, so they'd have options as far as levels of training and age when they'd like to receive the puppy. If they have 3 boys, maybe they don't have the time to give the puppy a good foundation, so a housebroken puppy with some basic obedience could be a great option.
