Kevin, Iwould like to comment on this..I was the front half helper at this event..The judgeing was the tuffest i have seen in a big event..And i have done a good number of championships in the last year..Including GSD nationals and the last two HOT...Where I seen dogs get V's that probably Shouldn't...At the AWMA's they had to earn it. Thanks Clark Niemitalo
This is the feed back I wanted to hear. Yours and Greg Doud's.
I am pleased to see the judging is tough....too many give aways these days.
For a note...look and the BSP a few weeks ago. The judging is tough.
It is not the sport that creates workign ability problems (naw ring ain't better or worse and it doesn't take more animal to play one or the other....sorry ring enthusiasts it just ain't so) but what does make a difference is the interpretation presented by the judges in their scores and critiques.
I continually hear from European friends that are visiting that the judging is too lenient.
It takes a lot of animal to be very precise through three phases of work and to maintain it throughout the time it takes to be competetive. To allow loose judging allows inconsistancy int he dogs and lets weaker animals through the net.
