I have been doing lots of research the past few months on the DDR specific lines of GSDs, and they seem to be absolutely PERFECT for me. I have found several breeders that I think look good, but I'm not going to commit to anything until the time gets closer to buy. My main question/request is to get some breeder referalls from whoever has them so i can have a little more variety in my search. DDR or DDR/Czech lines are what I'm looking for. Preferably black sables, but ya know, not a big deal there. And my budget allows <$1000. My second question is: This pup will be a companion pet, but I would also like to compete in compeditive obedience, agility, Schutzhund, therapy, etc. is there any different way I should raise him for this type of training? He is not going to be a working pup, so I'm leaning twords the Leerburg pet view, but for a dog that is going to compete? Sieben fuhr'n nach Düsseldorf, einer fuhr nach Köln!
