I have heard of Mals being on the "aggresive" dog list, but I think it is at the discretion of independant insurance companies to decide if it will effect the coverage to the public, at least that is what I have seen in NJ
They are trying to push legislation at the state level to ban the practice of discriminating against specific breeds. If you live in one of the states listed on this page, http://www.akc.org/insurance/pending_legislation.cfm , write your local congress critter in support of the bill. Rumor is that they sometimes actually pay attention to constituents.
