The instructor in this training video is Ed Frawley. The tape teaches people how to train a dog to do a motivational Send Away for the sport of Schutzhund or the AKC. It does not teach a forced send away. If the training is done correctly you can get fast, straight Send Away's from your dog. The tape breaks the exercise into component parts. Some of this work can be started at a very young age. We explain the age each component can be trained. The video has an excellent trouble shooting and problem solving section. In the trouble shooting section we analyze actual Schutzhund trials in which dogs blow the send away and talk about what the trainer needs to do to fix the problem.

Just wanted to drop you a quick e-mail to let you know how much I enjoyed your "Training the Send Away" video. It was very informative and well done. It makes me want to get out and train with my dogs and have fun with them doing it. So that helps with half the battle. You have beautiful dogs and great ways of helping us more "novice" GSD people learn about how to train correctly and not be overwhelmed with the ideas of training our own dogs to a Schutzhund level of competition.
