Product Description
Made exclusively for Leerburg in Wisconsin, USA!
The 2-Snap Agitation Harness is a quick and easy harness to put on your dog. Made from genuine Latigo leather, you won't find a better quality agitation harness than our own. This harness is sewn and pop-riveted with a combination of the highest quality chrome, nickel-plated steel, stainless steel, and copper hardware to ensure the maximum security. We know how important it is to have a strong and durable agitation harness, especially when used for Schutzhund and police K9 training.
Our agitation harness is designed to fit almost every working dog size. This harness comes with an adjustable girth size from 29" to 39". It's flexible and won't chafe against your dog's skin. Made with a sherpa padded breastplate, it will absorb the shock of hitting the end of a line during bite work.
We're often asked if a trainer should buy an agitation harness or a wide leather agitation collar for bite work. This will depend solely on your dog. Some dogs will pull so hard on a collar that they choke. If this is your dog, then we recommend you use an agitation harness instead.
This agitation harness should not be used as a tracking harness. It is too heavy for long tracks. This harness was designed with security and comfort for bite work, not tracking. We recommend you purchase our Tracking Harness with Handle instead.
What is girth?
Girth is taken from the widest part of the dog's chest behind the forelegs.
Made in the USA
The cow hides used to make all of Leerburg's leather are hand-picked for Leerburg before tanning. We need and use the thickest hides available. Our hides go through over 85 steps in a tanning process that takes over a month. Many types of Latigo leather are made in Mexico, India, or Pakistan, but none can compare to the quality of Leerburg's latigo leather made in North America.
Once tanned, our Leerburg Leather is delivered to the Amish family that crafts our leather products right here in Wisconsin. Our 4 Amish craftsmen have been making Leerburg leather products since 1990.
These 5 Amish craftsmen hand-cut, sew, pop-rivet, and tailor all of our leather products. We have yet to come across another leather product that measures up to our products' quality.

Write a ReviewWe couldn’t be happier with our new harness, collar and lead, thank you very much.
The quality and workmanship is absolutely 2nd to none, I’m sure these garments will last the rest of my lifetime never mind my dogs.
I’ll be back soon for some other pieces.
Thanks again!

Alistair from Scotland
Like everything, initial fit takes some time to get right. Some trial and error.
Hardware is far superior quality than you will get from most places offering the same level equipment at a better price.
My only complaint is the synthetic wool material used for breast plate padding. It leaves a lot to be desired and definitely not up to the quality of the harness itself. It’s not really full and thins out around the edges. It seems a lot of the material has been pulled out so it’s sort of patchy. End of the day the padding is a luxury. Once the leather breaks in nice it’s not really necessary. It’s also something that can be replaced and/or changed fairly easily.
I still feel as if they could provide a better quality padding: at least, more full.
I bought this for the leather and construction. I’m confident this will last for as long as it needed and remain comfortable for the dogs.
To be clear, there are leather agitation harnesss out there who charge way more than their harness is valued that have much lesser quality padding.
I don’t believe you will find a finer leather agitation harness. I’ve tried.
Fits perfect
Thick and supple leather.
Very solid and looks and functions fantastic.
Bought for $131 And it went on sale less than a week later for $98.
A bit disappointing
After thorough research of K9 multipurpose harnesses, I needed to ensure that specific characteristics were satisfied: Quality leather and hardware for durability, comfort, longevity, craftsmanship, versatility, and cost.
I chose the Padded Leather Agitation Harness which has the removable breast for the purpose of also tracking which is the primary for my K9.
After proper fit, my K9 Bud seems to have good flexibility as well as comfort...very happy K9. The harness was used extensively in different environmental terrains: Wet /Dry/rocky/swamp/wooded... and the harness is the best quality I have had. For Bud...the fit is great, which enhances comfort. Its a strong harness, build to last... I want to thank Leerburg, and the “Local craftsmen” who made a fine harness.
The 2-snap configuration makes it very easy to put on and take off quickly. Even under the maximum strain my dog can put on it (i.e. frustration building with a decoy while connected to a static line) it distributes the force well enough to keep him from ever choking or gagging. It's also extremely adjustable. He first started wearing it when he was under 60 lbs. and I was able to make adjustments as he grew. Even at 80 lbs. there is plenty of room to expand. The leather is definitely high quality, and was built with excellent craftsmanship, and I have no doubt I will be training with this harness for years to come.
