Introducing a new dog into your home is an enormous responsibility. The amount of work it takes to raise an 8 week old puppy can be overwhelming, especially if you do not have a game plan going into it. This DVD is going to help you develop that plan. While everyone’s lifestyle is different and every dog is different this course is designed to fit all dogs and people, regardless of whether you are raising a working line dog for sport work or a family pet. This DVD is going to focus on puppies, however, the material in this course can be applied to any dog that you bring into a new home/environment. If you recently adopted a 3 year old adult dog and would like to learn how to introduce them into your home this is the DVD for you.

The video was ok but many of the video clips did not follow the instructions just laid out by the narrator. I don't think it lives up to the expectations of Leerburg clients for straightforward instruction and demonstrations. I would suggest a pass on this one and find another video in the library.

Save your money!! Ill sum it up for you. Buy a leash, collar, harness if you want one, dog food, a crate, and some dog toys. Play with your dog. Keep taking your dog outside so it doesn’t pee in your house until knows to pee outside. The end. I want my 1:30 and $35 back!!!

I was disappointed in this video. Heaps of time was spent on "what things in a room might get a puppy in trouble," which is obvious, and little time was spent on more difficult issues. He describes a personality test and then doesn't tell how to score the test - what the results mean. He says the test should be performed at 7 weeks and then does it on a dog that's older and already has a home. When it comes to correcting the dog, he says "I can't tell you. It depends on the results of the test" which aren't explained. There is useful information, but not worth the hefty price tag.

Near the end of the vid, you talk of leash corrections for having an accident in the house. You recommend doing a leash correction using a flat collar on an 8 week old puppy? I have a very strong hard Belgian Malinois 8 weeks.
