What type of supplements do you recommend for an elderly shepherd who has been neglected and who has degenerative hip disease?

Hello:I am adopting an elderly shepherd who has been neglected and who has degenerative hip disease. I want to help him lead a decent life and you have a number of products which may give him some relief. Could you possibly recommend the best options among your products for hip disease? I am willing to purchase more than one product. Thanks. Cory

I've had great results with my older dog (has degenerative joint disease in her neck) using the following combo.
Syn Flex once daily
Acute Trauma twice daily (it's like an herbal Rimadyl type supplement, without the health risks)
Soothe Arthritis
I'd also make sure to put him on the highest quality grain free diet possible, as grains in any form can aggravate arthritis and joint inflammation. We have a great section on feeding dogs.
