My dog has a sensitive stomach. Any change in her diet results in diarrhea, vomiting and gas. What can I do?
Full Question:
My brother has a pit bull named Shania. Recently my brother fell in Love, and it seems Shania is more mine than his since I take care of her now. She is about 7 years old and 50 pounds and for most of her life my brother has fed her Ol' Roy dry dog food, although this is incredibly cheap I feel really bad for her as I know most dog foods out there are horrible concoctions. Any suggestions on starting her on one of your natural kibbles. She has a very sensitive system, any change in her eating and she gets the runs, throws up and has terrible gas. Even just eating Ol' Roy she throws up quite a bit and has the runs and gas. It just gets worse with any changes. What do you think?Thank You,
Scott

Old Roy is NOT an appropriate food for any living thing! I am sure that’s why Shania has digestive problems, it’s one of the lowest quality foods you can buy.
Read the article on feeding a raw diet. It’s a work in progress but there is a lot of good information there.
I would also recommend these books, Natural Nutrition for Dogs & Cats and Raw Dog Food.
