What if you protect yourself from a charging dog and the owner accuses you of animal cruelty?
Full Question:
I am referring to Ed's article, What Would I do if Attacked by a Dog?After you pepper-spray a threatening, loose dog from charging at you and your dog, what if its owner denies his dog was unleashed and accuses you of animal cruelty?
Cindy's Answer:
I’m afraid I can’t tell you what to do in that case, sorry. If something like that happened to me I’d make sure to have a written account of all the events prepared and would submit it to any and all authorities.
Your word against theirs is unfortunate, but if you are clear with the facts, then that’s all you can possibly do.
